One of my favourite techniques when it comes to Education Marketing is using blogging. The wonderful thing about blogging is that it allows us to educate our audience through different mediums. We can use video, podcasts and show notes, infographics, and of course, the written word.

Blog posts also help you build SEO and traffic to your website, which in turn boost your profile and make you searchable. When you optimise your web pages — including your blog posts — you’re making your website more visible to people who are using search engines like Google to find your products and services.

Each published blog post is a new opportunity for someone to find your business’s website and learn about who you are and what you offer. By investing in content creation that answers questions for your target customer, you’re establishing a trusting relationship that in turn helps them feel comfortable investing in you as a business partner or solution provider.

There are a myriad of ways on how to get ideas for your blog posts. You can use a website called AnswerThePublic which helps you find topics and keywords to start with that are relevant to your audience. 

A really helpful tool especially when planning for your blogging content all year round is using a Marketing Planner to help you plan out your blog topics and posts. The important thing to remember about blogging is that it is not to sell. Blogging is an effective way to address a pain point, share a helpful tip, or use it to educate on the basics — which you can then lead your audience to the next step like introducing them to your courses, workshops, or other products and services.

As with any other form of marketing, it’s important to try multiple tactics; not just rely on one method. Remember it’s difficult to determine which ones will be most effective for your blog without trying out a variety of approaches.
