Evergreen Content Ideas for Your Business

As a marketing strategist, evergreen content is one of my favorite topics when it comes to creating content. The power of evergreen content plays a key role for your business. It helps your marketing, promotions, social media, video, and other essential aspects where content is important for growth in your business.

But what is evergreen content, exactly?

Evergreen content got its name from the evergreen plant that retains its green leaves all year round. So put simply, content that retains relevance for readers over long periods of time can be considered evergreen.

Evergreen content is search-optimised content and continually stays “fresh.” It’s not time sensitive and it continues to drive traffic to your website long after it is first published.

Because evergreen content revolves around a topic regardless of the current news cycle or industry update, it stays relevant to your audience, whether old or new, all the time.

Examples of evergreen content

Producing content does not automatically make your piece evergreen, but some formats do tend to lend themselves to evergreen writing more than others.

These can be your Top Five Tips or Top Ten Examples, it can be any form of How-To content like product walkthroughs and tutorials, or it can be some instructional video training you’ve produced that continues to provide useful information regardless of how long it has been.

How to create evergreen content

Evergreen content is quite easier to find than you think. If you pay close attention, these are often the questions that you get asked all the time. That is why it is definitely worth crafting a solid hub of timeless, enduring content to impress your audience and set yourself apart from the competition.
